2023 Application
Each year, Wichita Federal Credit Union (WFCU) awards up to eight $1,000 scholarships to qualified applicants for the Fall semester. The application deadline is March 31, 2023, by 11:59pm CST. All applicants will be notified in May 2023.
If you are interested in applying for the scholarship, please follow the instructions below.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria before applying for a scholarship:
Please note this scholarship is not awarded more than twice in succession. For example, if you were awarded a scholarship in 2021 and 2022, you are not eligible for the 2023 award. However, you are encouraged to apply again in 2024.
Applicants must meet the following criteria before applying for a scholarship; PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
• Must be a current Wichita Federal Credit Union member for a minimum of twelve (12) months (As of March 31, 2022), and accounts must be in good standing.
• Must be either a graduating high school senior or a full-time undergraduate college student enrolled in a post-secondary school.
• Must be either a graduating high school senior or a full-time undergraduate college student enrolled in a post-secondary school.
• Must have at least a 3.0 grade point average.
• Must complete Banzai! Teen and Plus online courses.
• Must be willing to submit the application in full and write an essay of at least 500 words addressing the following question:
"Wichita Federal Credit Union operates on the philosophy of "People Helping People." Please describe how you see this in your life now and in the future."

HOW TO ACCESS THE APPLICATION
There are three ways to get an application:
1. Online here: Scholarship Application
OR
2. Stop by a WFCU Branch and ask for the application.
OR
3. Call 316.558.9511, and we'll mail or email it to you.
FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION
You have two options for filling out the application:
1. Online- The application is fillable, so you can fill it out online, save the file, then upload it in the section at the bottom of this page.
OR
2. Print the application, fill it out by hand, then scan each page, and upload them in the section at the bottom of this page.
SUBMIT APPLICATION/ESSAY/REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
You have three options for submitting the application, essay, and required documentation:
1. After completing the application and essay online, save the file, then upload it in the section at the bottom of this page.
OR
2. After filling it out, scan each page and upload them in the section at the bottom of this page.
OR
3. Email the completed application, essay, and required documents to wfcuscholarships@wichitafcu.com

3) All applicants will be contacted in May 2023.
Note on Transcripts: Colleges and/or Universities may elect to send transcripts directly to Wichita Federal Credit Union, Attn.: Marketing Department/ Scholarship Coordinator, 9835 E. 21st St. N., Wichita, KS 67206.
